The theme for Stormwater2027 is Confluence: Where catchments, communities and solutions meet.

A confluence is the point where separate streams join and become something larger. That is what this conference sets out to be: the first national conference delivered jointly by Stormwater Australia and Stormwater Victoria, and a meeting point for the people, places and ideas that shape how stormwater is managed across the country.

Every catchment is different, and so is every community that lives in it. The solutions that work are the ones designed with both in mind. With good planning, stormwater management together with considered asset design and maintenance can improve water security, reduce flooding and support waterway health. In turn, this fosters biodiversity and creates cooler, greener and more resilient places to enjoy now and in the future.
